주일한국학교
한국학교 목적 :
(1) 한국인의 뿌리의 중요성을 알게 한다.
(2) 부모와 자녀의 언어장벽을 해소한다.
(3) 사회진출의 폭넓은 기회를 갖는다.
한국학교 소개 및 활동 :
약 100명의 자녀들이 등록을 해서 열심히 배우고 있으며 반의 구성은 유아반(2-4세)부터 기초 ABC반, 초급 AB반, 중급 A반, SAT반이 각각 있습니다. 등록 대상은 2세부터 16세입니다.
장점 :
공부하기 좋은 많은 교실에서 쾌적하고 편리하게 새로 지은 교육관 2층에서 매주일 아침 10시부터 11까지 모이고 있습니다.
한 달에 한 번씩 자체 시험을 보며 부모님들에게 학생일지를 보내드립니다. 학생일지란 한 달 동안 공부한 것, 시험, 출석, 성적, 학습태도, 학생들과의 관계를 선생님들이 일일이 첵크해서 부모님의 사인을 받아오게 합니다. 그리고 학기별마다 장학생을 선출해서 장학금 수여도 하고 모범상, 개근상 등도 아울러 주고 있습니다. 여름방학에는 특별활동시간이 있는데 연극, 합창, 글짓기, 악기 등을 배우고 있습니다. 교회에서 자체 개발한 교재와 재외국인 교재를 사용하며 현 공립학교 재직 중인 한국어 선생님들과 경험이 많은 헌신된 선생님들로 구성되어 있습니다. 주일 한글학교 간식은 도네이션으로 지원하고 있습니다. 그리고 2008년 5월에 한국 교육국에서 정식으로 재외 한국학교로 인정을 받았고 교재와 지원비도 약속을 받았습니다.

하나님은 부모와 어른된 자들에게 온 맘과 정성과 힘을 다해 하나님을 깊게 사랑하라 말씀하시고는 그것을 우리 자녀들 가슴에 새기고
부지런히 가르치라 명령하셨습니다. 이를 위해 밸리연합감리교회 차세대 사역은 (Next-Generation) 우리 차 세대를 하나님의 뜻대로 교육하며, 양육하며, 훈련하여 예수님을 온전히 사랑하는 제자들을 만들기 위해 세워진 사역입니다.
세상에 살고는 있지만 천국의 시민으로 땅의 것을 추구하지 않고 하늘의 것 (하나님의 뜻)을 쫓는 영적인 군사들로 바로 서는 세대가 되는 것을 목표하며 말씀으로 가르치고 있습니다.
여러분, 우리 자녀들에게 가장 귀하고 값진 유산은 믿음의 유산입니다. 먼저 어른된 자들이 하나님을 깊게 사랑하고 그 모습을 우리 차세대에게 본이 되며 심어주는 사람들이 되기를 기도합니다.

God has commanded parents to love God deeply and impress that on the hearts of our children. We need to teach them diligently day and night. For this purpose, Valley Korean United Methodist Church Next-Generation Team exists. Next-Generation Team is called to teach, edify and train our next generation to rise up as the disciple of Christ. The very best inheritance for our next generation is faith in God. Let's deeply love God and impress that on the hearts of our young generation.
